Baby Number Two

Baby number two is expected in early August, so we have been trying to get the nursery ready. Oscar didn't get to help as much as he would have liked, and he definitely didn't get to stay in the room as much as we would have liked (his tail would have made a pretty good brush, though). 

Matchbox Cars

Kaden's favorite toys right now are matchbox cars, and while not all of these are Matchbox brand, that's the generic label I'm going to call them. He carries them all over the house, leaves them everywhere, including our bed. It is an odd sight in our living room when no matchbox cars can be seen. However, this is only the case when Kaden stuffs his entire collection behind the cushions of one of the chairs. Here is some of his favorite cars...on Oscar's head, of course. 

Bonus: Ponch decided to photobomb some of these pictures. He is not cool enough to let me put stuff on his head, but he is normally such a bum that he doesn't even want to be around us.

For our emergency response theme, there were several different police vehicles from which to choose. We went with the K9 vehicle for obvious reasons.

 The last one is my favorite. The A-Team van is not in great condition, but considering how they treated it for all those years, it is no wonder! I can almost hear B.A. yelling, "What'd you do to my van, fool?!"

After I put dinosaurs on Oscar's head, Kaden wanted to get in on that action. He came up with his own theme and so we took a few pictures with safari animals.

We decided to recreate a National Geographic scene on Oscar's head.

Oscar loves what Kaden loves and right now, Kaden loves dinosaurs! He carries around sauropods like they are extensions of his hands. Even though they are all over the house, Oscar has, so far, kept his jaws away from the prehistoric reptiles.

Springbreaksgiving!

We finally made it to Spring Break and for those of you that don't know, the Thursday of Spring Break is when we celebrate Springbreaksgiving. This celebration started because Megan doesn't think one Thanksgiving meal a year is enough, so she did something about it. The food was great; the company was better and Oscar and Ponch enjoyed the attention of the kids. Oscar always enjoys a nice slice of meat, but after chasing balls in the yard all evening, he was especially anxious to get some leftover turkey!
